Hi! My name is Matt Tyler. I am an award-winning social studies teacher with 10 years of experiences as a teacher and education researcher. As a teacher, I loved talking with other teachers and schools about group work, discussion, and restorative practices as an alternative to traditional discipline policies. And with my background in political science and education research, I have worked with school administrators to help teams better understand how to use quantitative data effectively in decision-making. I hold master’s degrees in both political science and social studies education, and I have worked as a researcher at the University of Cambridge, Columbia University’s Teachers College, the University of Georgia, and the University of Hong Kong.
